Edward VanNattanEdward Eugene VanNattan, 51, of Vermont died at 10:55 a.m. March 31, 2009, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born June 1, 1957, in Peoria, a son of Charles and Bonita Lutz. He married Melanie Hampton in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are his father of Vermont; grandmother, Ethel Lutz of Rushville; one son, Edward (and Jana) VanNattan II of Vermont; one daughter, Adeline VanNattan (and fiance John Fowler) of Macomb; two stepdaughters, Danielle and Shantelle Hunter of Vermont; three sisters, Nita (and Tug) Thompson of Vermont, Laura (and Bob) Dean of Taylorsville, Ga., and Teresa Cleland of Macomb; one brother, Chuck (and Eshaun) Lutz of Dahlonega, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonita Lutz; grandfather, Ed VanNattan; grandmother, Adeline Mills; grandfather, Toler Lutz; and grandfather, George Mills.

He worked as an electrician for the IBEW for 30 years and was an active member of Local 34 in Peoria.

Funeral services were held Friday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont.
