FRANCIS L. VENARD

Francis VeNard

Francis L. VeNard, 92, of Macomb, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 1995, at Macomb Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Aug. 29, 1902, in Vermont, a son of Edward and Clara L. VanAntwerp VeNard. He married Mary Jane Cromer in September 1921 in Colchester. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Jim L. of Littleton, Colo.; two daughters, Clara B. LaRue of Salida, Colo., and Georgia A. Cromer of Gunnison, Utah; two brothers, Lawrence of Knoxville and Dan of Macomb; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great, great-grandchildren. One son, Virgil A., and three sisters preceded him in death.

He retired after working at the Coca-Cola Co. of Macomb for many years. He was a life member of Open Bible Church of God of Abramick Faith in Macomb. He was active in the Macomb Barbershoppers.

Funeral services were held Thursday at his church with Rev. Ernest Louderman officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Jones Mortuary in Colchester was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
