Daniel Venard

Daniel L. Venard, 93, of Macomb, formerly of Vermont, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 22, 1909, in Vermont, a son of Edward E. and Clara L. VanAntwerp Venard. He married Frances Taylor.

He later married Laura Kaakinen.

He then married Elizabeth Perkins Estes.

Surviving are one daughter, Mary Stevenson of Charlotte, N.C.; and three sons, William, Robert and Paul, all of Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Dan and Erik; and two brothers.

He taught at high schools in Michigan, Illinois and Idaho. During World War II he was a statistician and production scheduler at Douglas Aircraft. He worked as a supervisor of quality control and production methods engineering in the X-ray tube department of General Electric Co. in Chicago and Milwaukee for 14 years.

He attended Western Illinois Teachers College from 1927 to 1929, earned a degree from Northern Michigan University and a master's degree from the University of Idaho.

There will be no services. Cremation has been accorded. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont was in charge of arrangements.
