Helen M. Vaughn, 89, of rural Vermont, died at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1993, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born Aug. 29, 1904, in Astoria, a daughter of Adam and Sarah Hamm Stremmel. She married Glenn L. Vaughn on June 17, 1925, in Carlinville. He died Mar. 12, 1974. Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Robert E. of Vermont; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Woodland Church of the Brethren in Astoria and the Table Grove Fire Department Auxiliary.
Funeral services were held Monday at Kost Memorial Home with Rev. Ron Burtz officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Table Grove Rescue Squad or to her church.
