She was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Brown County, a daughter of Charles William and Lillian Grace Scherrer Fuqua. She married Glen Trone on Oct. 9, 1949, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2017.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Marie Trone; and two brothers, Richard and Lozelle Fuqua.
Surviving are one son, Tom (and Sue) Trone of Moline; one daughter, Janet (and Robert) Steinman of Hamilton; one sister, Marian Anderson of Rushville; one brother, William (and Shirley) Fuqua of Mount Sterling; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She worked in retail sales and was a life-long homemaker. She was a member of Rushville First United Methodist Church.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Rushville City Cemetery with Rev. Stacey Tomich officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
