Donald Trone

Donald Eugene Trone, 74, of Rushville died at 8:17 p.m. Sept. 26, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born May 27, 1947, in Rushville, a son of Herschel and Anna Schieferdecker Trone.

Surviving are one son, Dr. Aaron (and Latisha) Trone of Vandalia, Mo.; one daughter, Amy (and Steve) Hall of Austin, Texas; three brothers, Larry Trone and Roger Trone, both of Rushville, and Randy Trone of Columbia, Ill.; one sister, Barbara Smith of Princeton; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Doug Trone; and two sisters, Becky Trone and Jane Trone.

He graduated from Rushville High School and was a U.S. Marine Vietnam veteran.

He was a member of Schuyler American Legion Post #4.

Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday in Rushville City Cemetery with Military honors by Schuyler American Legion Post #4 and U.S. Marine Honors Detail.
