Larry Trone

Larry TroneLarry Lee Trone, 68, of Beardstown died Sept. 12, 2016, at Heritage Health in Beardstown.

He was born Sept. 23, 1947, in Beardstown, a son of Thomas Alfred and Pauline Hopping Trone. He married Nancy Mae Lee on Nov. 6, 1965, in Beardstown. She survives.

Also surviving are four children: Angie (and Robin) Knous, Heidi (and Mike) Gann, Schuyler (and Jim) Lauderback, all of Beardstown, and Robert Thomas (companion Alexis Adoptante Espidal) Trone of Florida; one sister, Marna (and Robert) Maxwell of Browning; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jon Douglas Trone; and one brother, Dennis Trone.

He graduated from Rushville High School in the class of 1965. After high school, he worked at Sinclair Gas Station in Beardstown and later moved to Havana so he could work at Caterpillar in Peoria. When Oscar Mayer opened, he and his family moved back to Beardstown, and he worked there for 19 years until Oscar Mayer closed. Then he received his HVAC degree, and in 1987, he started Trone Appliance Center in the garage of his home on Jefferson Street. To this day he owns Trone Appliance Center in Beardstown, and also Trone Appliance Center in Jacksonville that he opened in 1992.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Burial will be in the Browning Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday morning.
