She was born Nov. 30, 1941, in Cuba, the daughter of Francis Marion and Wilma Landis Clayberg. She first married Kenneth Runyan in New Haven, Conn. She later married Myron H. Taylor on April 1, 1995, in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2012.
Surviving are two sons, Mark Runyan of Denver, Colo., and James (and Tari) Runyan of Rushville; her mother of Cuba; one brother, Steven (and Lynn) Clayberg of Cuba; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and the Sweet Adelines. She volunteered at the Schuyler Senior Citizens Center, where she served on the board and the Area Agency on Aging.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at her church, south of Rushville, with Pastor Charla Meyers officiating. Burial will follow in the Palm Cemetery, west of Rushville. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville.
