JAMES W. TAYLOR

James Taylor

James W. Taylor, 81, of Table Grove died at 11:33 p.m. Aug. 24, 2013, at his home.

He was born March 14, 1932, in Lewistown, a son of Charles Edward and Mabel (Davis) Taylor. He married Lola Mae Brehm. He later married Nancy Brewer. He then married Joan Ritter on Sept. 30, 2002, in Montpelier, Vt. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jeannie (and Ken) Neuman of Glasford and Laura May Taylor of Macomb; two sons, James (and Renee) Taylor of Lewistown and Charles Raymond Taylor of Macomb; one stepdaughter, Amanda Wright of Springfield; two brothers, Carroll Taylor of Lewistown and Jack Taylor of Canton; three sisters, Carolyn Danner of Lewistown, Barbara Irwin of the state of Florida and Susan Starke of Manito; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson; three brothers, Leland, Robert and Marion Taylor; and two sisters, Helen Cline and Marlee Bland.

He was a drag line operator for Sun Spot Mine in Vermont.

He was a member of United Mine Worker's of America.

Private services have been held with Pastor Tim Gilliland officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery in Table Grove. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
