She was born Dec. 13, 1940, in Macomb, the daughter of James Russell Prunty and Ina Mae Knight Prunty Wilson. She married John Paul Tomlinson on April 1, 1958, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 2012.
She also was preceded in death by one infant son, D. Morris Tomlinson.
Surviving are one son, James Paul Tomlinson of Humble, Texas; two daughters, Rita Mae (and Alan) Thomas of Rushville and Tina Marie (and Pete) Townsend of Chandler, Ariz.; two brothers, James Robert (and Judith) Prunty of Cambridge, Minn., and Danny Jo (and Donna) Prunty of Mackinaw; and two grandchildren.
She worked at Culbertson Memorial Hospital over 30 years before retiring as purchasing agent. She later worked at Royalty's Clothing Shop.
She was a member of Rushville Free Methodist Church.
A reception was held Saturday at Rushville Free Methodist Church. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
