She was born April 14, 1930, in Rushville, the daughter of Harry Summers and Sarah R. "Sally" Ralston Dugan. She married Howard A. Trone on Aug. 20, 1950, in Beardstown. He preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters, Crystal James of Rushville and Susan (and Kevin) Lux of Beardstown; four sons, Ted (and Nancy) Trone, Tim (and Gail) Trone, Chris (and Lynn) Trone, all of Rushville and Doug Trone of Shalimar, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She worked as a clerk for the Secretary of State office until retiring in 1979.
She was a member of Rushville Free Methodist Church, a former member of the Rainbow Girls, Rebekah Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary.
She also volunteered at Crisis Pregnancy Center and Rushville HELP Center.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Rushville Free Methodist Church with Rev. Rose Ross officiating. Burial was in Palm Cemetery.
