Evelyn Taylor

Evelyn M. Taylor, 82, of Macomb died at 1:08 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2000, at Heartland Healthcare Center.

She was born Jan. 28, 1918, in Roodhouse. She married Charles Taylor on Oct. 8, 1935, in Roodhouse. He died Oct. 1, 1985.

She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra Brown and Paula Taylor; three brothers; one sister; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Surviving are one daughter, Peggy Milby of Vermont; three sons, Bill of Good Hope, Jim of Macomb and Rudy of Lenexa, Kan.; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one half brother, Ed Whitehead of Jerseyville.

She worked for Haegar Pottery and did upholstery. She also cared for disabled people in her home.

She was a member of Macomb Assembly of God church, where services were at 10:30 a.m. today. Rev. Alan Puccini officiated. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Evelyn Taylor memorial fund established at First State Bank of Western Illinois, 500 E. Jackson, Macomb.
