VIRDELLA LOUISE (WATTS) TURNER

Virdella Turner

Virdella L. Turner, 68, of Rushville, died at 5:20 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 9, 1930, near Arenzville, a daughter of Ike and Rella Roate Watts. She married Henry Turner on Nov. 21, 1948, in Mount Sterling. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sue Turner of Morton and Mrs. Dale (Denise) Pindell of Rushville; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Dee) Wright of Browning and Mrs. Dan (Carol) Phillips of Rushville; and two brothers, John Watts of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Harold Watts of Hull.

She was the Schuyler County constable from 1955 to 1957 and worked for Mickelberry Locker Service for several years. She was former president of the Southwest Central Illinois CB Club and a member of Maplewood Alumni Association.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home with Dr. Jack Volkers officiating. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery.
