Larry Teel

Larry T. “Moe” Teel, 62, of Colchester, died at 6:58 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Sept. 9, 1935, in Industry, a son of Sam and Edith Coker Teel. He married Marry Gossage on Sept. 30, 1962, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Larry “Chip” Teel of Jacksonville, Larry Teel of Carthage and Ricky Teel of Macomb; one daughter, Sarah Konkler of Colchester; 13 grandchildren; six brothers, Sammy of Hartwell, Ga., Meredith of Rock Island, Francis of Milan, Jerry and Jack of Industry and Scotty of Bushnell; two sisters, Mrs. Bob (Luan) Kendrick of Table Grove and Lola Coplan of Macomb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, two brothers in infancy, and one grandson.

He had lived all his life in McDonough County, and had worked for Haeger Lamp Co., in Macomb. He retired in 1986.

Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Lori Harvey officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
