Russell Thompson Of Havana Dies

Russell F. Thompson, 82, of 838 N. Broadway, Havana, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 1988, at his home.

He was born June 23, 1905, in Fulton County, a son of Francis and Carrie Smith Thompson. He married Stella Curless on Nov. 28, 1925, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Russell Jr. and Max Eugene, both of Havana; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Neff of Silvis.

Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

A retired contractor, he was a member of the Havana Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. this afternoon in Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. David Upchurch officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to his church.
