Louis D. Thomas Dies In Hospital

Louis D. Thomas, 71, of Rushville, died at 7:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 1986, at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Feb. 26, 1914, in Astoria, the son of David Edward and Bessie Prather Thomas. He married Helen Grafton Oct. 10, 1935, in Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Gary of Rushville and Ron of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Grover of Mt. Sterling; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Thomas of Bloomington, Ind. and two sisters, Mrs. Estel Foster of Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Ersle Ray of Astoria.

A grandchild died earlier.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Rushville and Rushville Lodge No. 9, AF&AM.

He worked for the Mickelberry Meat Packing Co. in Rushville for 28 years. He owned and operated the Coast to Coast Store in Rushville for 12 years. He was a driver for the Schuyler Senior Center.

Masonic services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Allen officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Schuyler Senior Center.
