Kenneth E. Trone, 66, of 613 S. Oakwood Ave., Geneseo, died at Hammond Henry Hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1975, following a brief illness.
He was born Apr. 14, 1909 in Astoria, a son of Mansford and Lavetta Walton Trone. He was reared and educated in the Schuyler County area and married Lorraine Kirkbride on July 7, 1934, in Rushville. She survives.
He was a retired machinist for International Harvester of East Moline. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Geneseo and a member of Geneseo Masonic Lodge No. 92.
Other survivors include one grandson, Patrick Kenneth Trone of Geneseo; one brother, Doane Trone of Rushville; and one sister, Mrs. Roy (Wilma) Elliott of Sun City, Ariz. He was preceded in death by one son, Merelyn Jay Trone.
Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Myers Funeral Home in Geneseo with James D. Burns, minister of the Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. at the Bader Cemetery.
