James Elliott Thomas died Saturday morning, following a long illness.
Mr. Thomas was born in Woodland township Jan. 1, 1874, a son of Aaron and Martha Leonard Thomas. He was united in marriage to Mary Trone Oct. 4, 1894, and to them one son, Earl, was born.
He is survived by his wife and son Earl, one granddaughter, Mrs. Orville Trone, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Mt. Zion church, conducted by Rev. Fred Thompson. Burial in Mt. Zion cemetery.
