Aged Kerton Farmer Dies

Scott Tippey Died Monday Morning, Aged Eighty-Four Years

Scott Tippey, an aged and well known Kerton township farmer, died at his home northeast of Summum early Monday morning following an illness covering a period of several months duration.

Mr. Tippey was born in the community in which he died, June 30, 1856. At the time of his death, he was aged 84 years, 10 months and 12 days. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter, Mrs. Chas. Ogden of Astoria, Loy Tippey, Havana, and Orville Tippey, of Lewistown.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. William Valentine, pastor of the Christian church in Lewistown. Interment in the Hickory cemetery.
