Burns Prove Fatal To Beardstown Woman

Mrs. William C. Trone of Beardstown died in the hospital in that city Friday evening from burns sustained that morning when her clothing caught fire. Her clothing ablaze, she was found by her husband who was attracted by her screams. Mr. Trone used the garden hose to extinguish the fire and then called an ambulance in which the injured woman was taken to the hospital.

Only her lower limbs had escaped injury from the blaze it was said. Blood transfusions were administered, but the patient who had at first been conscious, soon lapsed into unconsciousness and death occurred 16 hours after the burns were suffered.

Mrs. Trone was born near Vermont and would have been 47 years of age on her next birthday anniversary, December 17.

She is survived by her husband, William C. Trone, who is employed in the water service of the Burlington railroad, and a son, William, 16 years old. Also surviving are a brother, Clarence Hipple of Vermont, three half brothers, Perry Fry of Pontiac, Roy Fry of Astoria and Myron Fry of Vermont and her stepfather, Edward Fry of Vermont.
