Former Astorian Dies

Mrs. Albert Thomas died at her home in Vermont, Monday afternoon following a few weeks’ illness.

Mrs. Thomas was well known here, she and her husband, who is also deceased, resided here.

Last Sad Rites For Mrs. Thomas

Flora A. Dutton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Asa Dutton, was born July 15, 1861 near Astoria, died at her home in Vermont, Nov. 24, 1930; aged 69 years, 4 months and 9 days.

In September, 1877 she was united in marriage with Albert Thomas, who preceded her in death May 1927. To this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Matilda Harmon of Macomb.

Thirty-three years ago Mrs. Thomas united with the Mt. Zion church of Primitive Baptist, near Astoria, and lived a Christian life until death.

The last seventeen years she has made her home in Vermont. Besides her only daughter, she leaves to mourn her passing three grandsons, Don, Cline and Kenneth Harmon, eight great-grandchildren and four brothers, Will Dutton, Avon, Albert, M. S. and Charles, all of Summum, four sisters, Lissie Slaight, Astoria, Mrs. Lewis Stevison, Lawrence, Kansas, Mrs. John Trone, Summum and Mrs. Harve Clark, Canton.

Mrs. Thomas was of a lovely disposition, a faithful companion and loving mother, a faithful Christian and loved by all who knew her.

Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Zion church Friday, by Elder O. J. Conlee of Roodhouse, Ill.
