She was born Nov. 18, 1958, in Beardstown, a daughter of Andrew “Ace” and Shirley Jackson Thrash. She married Ronald Shepherd on May 23, 1998, at Sugar Grove Church. He survives.
Also surviving are her parents; one daughter, Angela (and Brian) Hardy of Rushville; one son, Andy (and Amy) Kerr of Rushville; one stepdaughter, Ronda (and Cory) Fried of Rushville; one stepson, Jim (and Tina) Shepherd of Rushville; one sister, Janice (and Mike) Workman; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Francis and Maxine Jackson; her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Artye Thrash; and one aunt, Sandra Ufen.
She was employed by the Schuyler County Farm Service Agency for many years before retirement. She attended Rushville First United Methodist Church where she volunteered with the “Snacks for Students” program.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rushville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Stacy Tomich officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville.
