She was born Sept. 26, 1950, in Beardstown, a daughter of Forrest Earl and Rosie M. Schwalb Hull. She married James Richard Surratt Sr. on Aug. 29, 1969, in Virginia, Ill. He preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 2019.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Byron Earl Hull and infant Roy Wakeman.
Surviving are three sons, James R. Surratt Jr. of Rushville, Jerry A. Surratt of Chandlerville and Jesse L. Surratt of Pleasant View; six siblings, Orville Steven Hull, Hershel Francis “Bud” Hull, Helen Sue Thompson, Forrest Benjamin Hull and Sandra Ann Coats, all of Rushville and Debra Rose Hocker of Macomb; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Larry DeSha officiating. Burial was at Chapin Cemetery in Chapin.
