She was born July 4, 1956, in Hayward, Calif., a daughter of Marshall and Alberta Wilson Kessler. They preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Gerald “Gerry” Sorenson.
Surviving are one sister, Lisa (and Kelly) Skinner of Rushville; one nephew, Sam Skinner of Rushville; and one niece, Ashley Skinner of Rushville.
She was a word processing specialist at the Brian Cave Law Firm in St. Louis and was very active in the Red Hat Society.
Services were held March 5 at Irwin Chapel in Granite City and March 6 at First Christian Church in Rushville. Burial was at Woodland Cemetery in Astoria.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Transplant Association.
