Jack Smith

Jack V. Smith, 72, of Saint David died at 6:35 a.m. Jan. 29, 2021, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born Feb. 11, 1948, in Canton, the son of Vernon and Louise Weber Smith.

Surviving are two daughters, Angela (and David) Ragle of Ipava and Kimberley (and Greg) Schreacke of Elizabethtown, Ky.; his fiancé, Betty Brown of Saint David; one sister, Kathie (and Richard) Hamilton of Cuba; and five grandchildren, Bryan (and Rianna), Michelle, Rachel, Andrew and Bradley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Christopher I. Smith.

He worked as a manager for Sherwin Williams paint stores in Macomb and Jacksonville, and also was a painter for many years working with Larry Williams in Canton.

He served his country in the United States Air Force stationed in Turkey during 1969-73.

Per Jack’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canton.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
