He was born Aug. 14, 1952, the son of Eldon Scrogum and Rosalie Bucy Scrogum. They preceded him in death.
Surviving are “adopted siblings” of close friends and friends and associates.
He was a loyal alum of Astoria High School and Illinois State University and a patron of the arts and of civic service.
He served in administrative roles with notable state leaders, non-profit organizations and public agencies.
Cremation was provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society in Springfield.
Memorials may be made to an animal welfare organization of the individual’s choice.
