KAREN S. (STAMBAUGH) SAGER

Karen Sager

Karen S. Sager, 64, of Astoria died at 10:29 a.m. June 21, 2018, at her home.

She was born Nov. 10, 1953, in Browning, a daughter of Junior “Bill” and Dorothy Edwards Stambaugh. She married Kevin Sager on July 10, 1977, in Astoria.

Surviving are one son, Adam Sager of Astoria; two sisters, Patsy (and Mike) Belden and Alicia (and Rick) Hager, both of Pleasant Plains; two brothers, Gary (and Lila) Stambaugh of Fayetteville and Dennis (and Debbie) Stambaugh of Beardstown; and special friend, Larry Jones of Astoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and one brother, Billy Stambaugh.

She was a CNA at Astoria Gardens. She also worked at the Fulton County Rehabilitation Center. She was a volunteer at Mississippi Valley Blood Center and the South Fulton Senior Center Meals on Wheels Program.

She was a member of the Fulton County HEA and the Astoria Rescue Squad. She was named Mrs. Astoria 2017.

Services were held Sunday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Lisa Fike officiating. Burial was in Ridgeville Cemetery in Browning.
