DOROTHY (EDWARDS) STAMBAUGH

Dorothy Stambaugh

Dorothy Stambaugh, 74, of rural Browning, died Thursday evening, Jan. 16, 1997, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Nov. 26, 1922, in Ray, a daughter of Joseph and Iva Thomas Edwards. She married Junior Stambaugh on May 19, 1943, in Rushville. He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Gary Stambaugh of Laurel, Md., Billy Stambaugh of Browning, and Dennis Stambaugh of Beardstown; three daughters, Patsy Belden and Alicia Hager, both of Ashland, and Karen Sager of Astoria; one brother, Kenneth Edwards of Beardstown; one sister, Bonnie Bair of Astoria; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Stambaugh was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Astoria.

Services were held Sunday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown with Rev. Phillip Derry officiating. Burial was in the Ridgeville Cemetery in rural Browning.

Memorials have been suggested to the Assembly of God Church in Astoria.
