Nelda L. Smith, 94, of Macomb died at 10:20 a.m. Dec. 25, 2016, at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Table Grove, a daughter of Charles and Lella Kimble Miller. She married Junior E. “Jake” Smith on Dec. 9, 1944, in Taunton, Mass. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1999.
She also was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Junior and Nelda began farming in 1950 in rural Macomb. They retired in 1986 and moved to Macomb where she resided ever since.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Harris Cemetery west of Table Grove with Reverend Tim Gilliland officiating. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to MDH Hospice or McDonough District Hospital.
