ZEKIEL LEVI SCHOBERND

VeteranZekiel Schobernd

Zekiel Levi Schobernd, 32, of Denver, Colo., died Aug. 17, 2015, at his home.

He was born March 1, 1983, in Macomb, a son of Paul L. and Elizabeth Hanks Schobernd. He married Kristen “KaDee” Stroleny on Aug. 15, 2008, in Bloomington. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother and stepfather, Beth and Duane Carpenter of Normal; two brothers, Zach (and Kelly) Schobernd of Normal and Zeb (and Christina) Schobernd of Morehead City, N.C.; and two sisters, Susan (and Eric) Langford and Maria (and the late Scott) Carpenter, both of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Paul and Cathryne Schobernd of Dorchester and Paul B. and Loretta Hanks of Hardin.

He was a 2001 graduate of University High School.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard until April 2015.

Services were held Aug. 22 at the Illinois Yearly Meetinghouse in McNabb. Burial of ashes will be held at Green Pond Cemetery in Pearl at a later date.
