Thelma StevensonThelma J. Stevenson, 82, of Ipava died at 5:05 p.m. Dec. 24, 2014, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born Feb. 19, 1932, in Havana, a daughter of Andrew and Harriet Hendricker Larson. She married Weldon Stevenson on June 20, 1968, in Havana. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1998.

She also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Elizabeth Noel Stevenson; four brothers, David, Andrew, Robert and Joseph Larson; and five sisters, Hazel Felleson, Esther Lindsey, Lillian Roberts, Nelda Smith and Evelyn Felleson.

Surviving are one daughter, Heather (and Keith) Mohr of Burnside; one son, Rob (and Gina) Stevenson of Ipava; one sister, Dorothy Bryant of Knoxville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.

She was an elementary education teacher for 18 years in rural and public schools.

She was a member of Berean Christian Church of Ipava for the last 40 years and Charter member of Havana Church of Christ.

Services were held Tuesday at Berean Christian Church in Ipava with Pastor Doug Krukewitt officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hills Cemetery in Havana. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
