She was born Sept. 21, 1917, in Astoria, a daughter of James William and Orlena Bloomfield Stephens.
Surviving are one nephew, William (and Cindy) Stephens of Industry; three nieces, Marcia (and Jon) Breeden of Macomb, Lois (and Joe) Stabler of Kewanee and Nancy Suhanek of Joliet; two great-nieces, Jaimee (and Jeff) Steele of Astoria and Jenna (and David) Doyle of Davenport, Iowa; and one great-great-nephew, Austin Steele of Astoria.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James William Stephens; and three sisters, Muriel Heath, Helen Sanders and Marianna Stephens.
She was a homemaker.
She was a 1935 graduate of Astoria High School.
She attended Woodland Church of the Brethren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Doug Krukewitt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad or McDonough County Hospice in Macomb.
