She was born April 21, 1918, in Arnold, Neb., a daughter of Charles L. and Iva M. Abbott Bowes. She married Edward L. Skiles on Sept. 28, 1940, in Enid, Okla. He preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 2009.
She also was preceded in death by five sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Travis of Macomb and Sandy Dummer of Industry; one son, Neil (and Karen) Skiles of Industry; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a farmer's wife.
Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Jon Keck officiating. Burial was in Industry Cemetery.
