Dale Savage

Dale Eugene Savage, 76, formerly of Table Grove, died at 9:10 p.m. June 29, 2008, at his home in Brownsville, Texas.

He was born March 18, 1932, in Brimfield, a son of Raymond T. and Susan J. (Jenny) Shane Savage. He married Evelyn Bowhay in Knoxville on Sept. 16, 1950. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kathie Savage of Table Grove and Cris (and David) Ramos of Brownsville; five sons, Michael (and Debbie) Savage of St. Cloud, Minn., Richard (and Cris) Savage and Robert (and Nancy) Savage, both of Table Grove, Terry Savage of Marshall, Ind., and Kenneth (and Staci) Savage of Longview, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Hasselbacher of Rock Falls and Mrs. Evelyn LaFollette of Knoxville; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jack; one grandson, Eric; three brothers; and two sisters.

While in Illinois, he drove semi-trucks and operated heavy equipment for many years. He moved to Brownsville in 1981, where he managed Crooked Tree Camp Inc. for 24 years.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Inurnment will be at Harris Cemetery in Table Grove.
