Winnie E. Savill, 95, formerly of Canton, died Friday, March 18, 2005, at Ridgecrest Village in Davenport, Iowa, where she was a resident.
She was born Nov. 15, 1909, in Vermont, a daughter of Clyde and Annabelle Leighty Brown. She married Vernon C. Savill Sr. on Oct. 5, 1930. He died in 1996.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Vernon Jr.; two sisters; and one brother.
Surviving are one son, Jerry (and Jackie) of Davenport; two granddaughters; one stepgrandson; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
Services were held Tuesday at Monterey United Methodist Church in Monterey. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Hodgson Funeral Home in Rock Island was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund in Rock Island or Monterey United Methodist Church.
