Herschel L. Shirrell, 83, of rural Browning died at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Astoria Gardens in Astoria.
He was born Dec. 25, 1921, in Bluff City, a son of William D. and Helena Holmes Shirrell.
Surviving are one brother, Carmen (and Wanda) of Macomb; and one sister, Mildred Bushbomb of Washington.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Eldon; and two sisters, Margie Kling and Goldie Shirrell.
He was a farm laborer.
He attended Bluff City Community Church in Bluff City.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Robert Spencer officiating. Burial was in Bluff City Cemetery.
