LORENE A. (SHAW) SIDWELL

Lorene Sidwell

Lorene A. Sidwell, 81, of Macomb, formerly of Clayton, died at 9:36 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at McDonough District Hospital.

She was born May 28, 1921, in Havana, a daughter of Edward and Neva Pedigo Shaw. She married Elwin Sidwell on March 22, 1938, in Burlington, Iowa. He died March 28, 1993.

She also was preceded in death by four daughters, Debbie Blunt, Bonnie Hicks, Sandra Tippy and Vickie Beebe; and five brothers.

Surviving are three sons, Stanley (and Becky) of Mason City, and Lyman (and Marilyn) and Duane (and Sherry), both of Colchester; two daughters, Judith Busby of Astoria and Helen Davis of Camp Point; two brothers, Dwight Shaw of Havana and Milroy Shaw of New York; one sister, Louise Danner of Havana; 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.

She was a member of the Baptist Church in Clayton.

Cremation has been accorded. Graveside services were held Tuesday at South Side Cemetery in Clayton with Rev. Roger Selves officiating. Hamilton Funeral Home in Clayton was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Macomb Red Cross Senior Citizens Transportation.
