Judy BusbyJudy Busby, 72, of Astoria died at 2:50 a.m. March 8, 2016, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

She was born Oct. 20, 1943, in Havana, a daughter of Elwin and Alice Shaw Sidwell. She married Leroy Bollinger on Nov. 25, 1960, in Keokuk, Iowa. She later married Donald Busby on July 29, 1975, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1998.

Also preceding her in death were four sisters, Sandra Tippey, Bonnie Hicks, Debbie Blunt and Vickie Beebe; and one brother, Stanley Sidwell.

Surviving are one daughter, Beverly (and Jimmy) Crenshaw of Astoria; one son, Robert Bollinger of Browning; one sister, Helen Davis of Camp Point; two brothers, Lyman (and Marilyn) Sidwell of Colchester and Sidney (and Sherry) Sidwell of Fulton, Mo.; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and a friend, Cecil Herring of Astoria.

She was a waitress at Wilbur’s Coffee Cup and K.C.’s Place, both in Astoria, and Brown’s in Rushville.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Astoria and Astoria Christian Church, where she served as youth leader.

Services were held Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
