RICHARD CLINE “BREEZY” STAMBAUGH

Richard C. "Breezy" Stambaugh, 75, of Astoria, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Jan. 16, 1927, in Astoria, a son of Cleve and Nellie Derry Stambaugh.

Surviving are one son, Rick of Astoria; one granddaughter; and one brother, Larry (and Brenda) of Astoria.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, two brothers and one sister.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He worked at Peabody Coal Co. for several years, International Harvester in Canton for 10 years, and worked as a heavy machine operator in construction in Texas and Illinois for 18 years.

He was a member of International Harvester Local 1357 in Canton.

Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Cliff Parry officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Astoria Township Cemetery Association or Astoria Assembly of God Church.
