Edna Mae Smith, 90, of Vermont died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born Aug. 22, 1911, in Fulton County, the daughter of John Theodore and Laura Lacretia Arnold Walton. She married Edgar Smith on Aug. 23, 1995, in Owensboro, Ky. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Taylor Bennett of Tulsa, Okla., and Gary Bennett of Evansville, Ind.; two daughters, Mary Ann Wagoner of Boise, Idaho, and Betty Jane Trout of Evansville; one step-daughter, Norma Jean Staub of Evansville; 21 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two stepsons, John Hormuth and Clarence Hormuth.
She was a member of Vermont American Legion Auxiliary.
Services were held Sunday at Kost Memorial Home with Tim Gilliland officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
