GEORGIA T. (SNIDER) FOUTS STROOPS

Georgia Stroops

Georgia T. Stroops, 91, of Canton died at 8:05 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at Renaissance Care Center.

She was born March 4, 1909, in Liverpool Township, Fulton County, a daughter of William and Julia Raker Snider. She married Harry M. Stroops on Dec. 22, 1979, in Canton. He died May 9, 1997.

Two brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Drexel (and Linda) Fouts of Peoria; one daughter, Clarabel (and Harley) Cluney of Glasford; one brother, David Snider of Canton; two sisters, Elizabeth Turl of Brereton and Marion Johnson of Williamsfield; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was a charter member of Assembly of God Church in Canton, where she served on the Women's Missionary Council and was a former Sunday school teacher.

Services were held Monday at her church with Revs. Earle Black and Todd Waggoner officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
