Roy William Switzer, 64, of Litchfield died at 4:15 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
He was born Jan. 20, 1936, in Peoria, a son of Sam and Henrettia Buley Switzer. He married Marlene M. Ziegler on Jan. 1, 1969, in Farmersville. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Tonya Switzer of Litchfield; one brother, Earl Switzer of Canton; and six sisters, Mildred Green and Alberta Walton, both of Canton, Ethel Wojack of Washington, D.C., Pearl Walker of Arizona, Corrine Switzer of New Mexico and Alice Jenkins of Canton.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Lynn Switzer, one infant brother and one infant sister.
He was a machine operator at Dana Brake Parts Co. in Litchfield. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro and the Moose in Litchfield.
Services were held Thursday at his church with Dr. Ronald Rhodus officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.
