Marjorie Madelene Simpson, 83, of Vermont, died at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Aug. 2, 1915, in Iowa, a daughter of Arthur Russell and Lola Belle Dyke Moore. She married Robert House. He preceded her in death. She later married Oscar Simpson on April 14, 1940. He died Oct. 27, 1971. She also was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Jay House of St. Clair, Mo.; two grandsons; one brother, Melvin Moore of California; two sisters, Betty Conway of Camden and Louise Blaine of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She formerly lived in Dunfermline, Cuba and Bryant.
Cremation was accorded and burial of ashes was in Vermont Cemetery. Arrangements were by Kost Memorial Home in Vermont.
