Roger Spillers

Roger Spillers, 43, of Rushville died at 9:38 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 18, 1954, in Rushville to Warren and Alene Hood Spillers. He married Karen Brierton on Oct. 8, 1973, in Pleasant View. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Rushville; four daughters, Emily Spillers of Astoria, Mrs. Adam (Rohamah) Edwards of Rushville, and Deanna and Megan Spillers, both at home; one brother, Richard Spillers of Rushville; and one grandson.

His father preceded him in death.

He graduated from Rushville High School in 1972. He owned and operated Spiller’s Backhoe Service and Trucking for 16 years and was a farmer for many years. He was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and Rushville Moose Lodge 506.

Services were held Sunday at Wood-Roby Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Bonser officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Deanna and Megan Spillers Education Fund in care of Rushville Banking Center.
