She was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Schuyler County, the daughter of Robert E. and Virg Ella Sours Hood. She married Warren Spillers on Oct. 11, 1941, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1980.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Roger Spillers; and one brother, Gayle Hood.
Surviving are one son, Richard “Dick” Spillers of Rushville; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Beardstown High School. She was a homemaker and dedicated farm wife.
She attended Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.
Services were held Tuesday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Reverend John Sowers officiating. Burial was in the Rushville City Cemetery.
