Dorothea Stambaugh, 85, of Shelbina, Mo., died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1996, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

She was born Oct. 26, 1910, in Bath, a daughter of Karl and Katherine Koves Boehl. She married Harold Millard Dec. 31, 1941. He died Oct. 7, 1944. She married Mark Stambaugh Dec. 25, 1959, in Summum. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Gene Millard of Monroe City; a stepson, Raymond Stambaugh of Ipava; a stepdaughter, Janice Roberts of Plymouth; eight step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alta Miller of Petersburg and Clara Unland of Canton.

She was preceded in death by a stepson; a step-granddaughter; a brother; and two sisters.

Mrs. Stambaugh attended Shelbina Baptist church and was a member of Shelbina Happy Hustlers Women’s Club and Salt River Nursing Home Ladies Auxiliary.

Funeral services were held Feb. 9 in the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home by Rev. Bob Compere. Burial was in Shelbina Sunset Slope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Kum Dubl Sunday School Class of Shelbina Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
