IRMA ELLEN (SCHISLER) SKILES

Irma Skiles

Irma E. Skiles, 83, of Industry, died at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 1995, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born Dec. 30, 1911, in Browning Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of Henry and Virginia Belville Schisler. She married John Skiles on Feb. 28, 1929, in Rushville. He survives.

Also surviving are three sones, Wesley of Roseville, Hubert of Crestview, Fla., and Bernard of Lewistown; three daughters, Mrs. Russell (Lorraine) Pointer of Macomb, Mrs. Donald (Maralyn) McSperritt of Adair and Mrs. Tom (Karen) Probston of Gerlaw; 26 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herman Schisler of Tucson, Ariz., and George Schisler of Monmouth; and two sisters, Julia Mae Raine of Rock Island and Ollie Rockhold of East Moline.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three grandchildren.

She worked at the Coffee and Donut Shop in Macomb, McDonough District Hospital and Saga Food Service at Western Illinois University. She was a member of Macomb Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Stephen Storms officiating. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery near Roseville.

Memorials may be made to the Missions Project at Industry Assembly of God Church or Bushnell Assembly of God Church.
