Loren Shaffer, 90, of Canton, died at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1995, at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
He was born July 31, 1904, in Summum, a son of Solomon and Sarah Trone Shaffer. He married Vera Faye Myers on April 22, 1939, in Keokuk, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Paul of Vermont; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
He worked for International Harvester Co. for 43 years, retiring as a machinist in 1966.
Funeral services were held Friday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. Gerald Van Tine officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
