Rachel I. Stroops, 82, of Henderson, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 1990, at Laurelwood Health Care Center in Rock Island.
She was born April 11, 1908, in Astoria, a daughter of John Samuel and Hannah Sullivan Stambaugh. She married Earl Stroops on Dec. 30, 1925, in Astoria. He died in 1989.
Three sons, one brother and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Earl, and one daughter, Doris Martin, both of Davenport, Iowa; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Freeman Stambaugh of Astoria and Glen Stambaugh of Adair.
She was a member of Brown Avenue Church of God in Galesburg, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Pastor Jeffrey Barclay will officiate and burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Watson Funeral Home in Galesburg is in charge of arrangements.
