George Spring, Jr., 77, of 2408 N. Silvania Ave., Sturtevant, Wis., died at St. Mary’s Medical Center on Thursday, Dec. 27, 1984.
He was born in Fulton County, Ill., on Oct. 26, 1907, a son of George and Lona Darling Spring. He married Stella Kraezk Snopek. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include two brothers, Manford of Sioux City, Iowa, and Wayne of Modesto, Calif.; two sisters, Violet Wallace of Astoria and Imogene Umphreys of Vermont; two stepchildren, Raymond of Franksville, Wis., and Alice of Milwaukee, Wis.; several nieces and nephews, some in this area.
Also preceding him in death were four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Spring worked for the Ladish Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul National Catholic Church and a member of the Union Grove Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite.
Private funeral services were held on Dec. 29 at 9 a.m. at Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home with Rev. Erwin E. Mogilka officiating. Interment was at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Milwaukee.
